If you see a veteran today, give him or her a firm handshake and say "thanks."
Abu Muqawama went to services early this morning and then made his way down to Downing Street to watch the Remembrance Day ceremony. This is a bit
embarrassing, but
Abu Muqawama got a little tingle up his spine when he watched this slight old lady in black make her way up to the Cenotaph to place her wreath.

This obviously undermines the point Abu Muqawama was making at a dinner party last night about how we Americans are impervious to being seduced by monarchy.
