You are referring to the war in Iraq that started in 2003. Charlie Wilson was not involved in Iraq, he was in involved in Afghanistan. You know, Afghanistan? The third world country that defeated the Soviet Union and played a part in its fall. Now, perhaps, you believe that since Iraq is a Muslim country and OBL is a Muslim, they are connected. In some ways, maybe. However, on the level that you are suggesting, you are strongly misguided. If you remember, 9/11 was carried out by Al-Qaida which was funded by OBL and trained in Afghanistan. So, you could be implying that Charlie Wilson is responsible for the Afghan War? OBL and Al-Qaida are responsible for the Afghan War. Remember that. You also imply that Charlie Wilson could have killed OBL during the Soviet War. What evidence do you have that Wilson and OBL ever met? How could he have shot him? Was OBL a threat during the war? If I am correct, one of OBL's chief grievances is the United States' presence in Saudi Arabia, an event that occurred in 1990, a year after the end of the Afghan War. Also, please remember that Wilson made an attempt to set aside funds for Afghan Schools. Also, OBL is still alive and running free because of the Pentagon bureaucracy and White House refusing to commit more troops in the initial phase of the Afghan War. Please check your facts before making what I can only guess is a heavily alcohol induced tirade with no discernible facts.

I'd just like to point out, Johnny "Mike" Spann (a former US Marine) died on Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at a compound in Mazar-e Sharif in Afghanistan. Check your facts Blkmetalcoffee, I don't know where you've been the last decade, but the War on Terror started in Afghanistan, not Iraq. Spann was the first American to die in combat after 9/11 occurred.

By the way, if Charlie were in office today, he would have been arrested by the FBI, would have gone to prison and he's lucky he got away with what he did back then. Charlie reminds me a lot of John Sweeney, just without the Hollywood Movie that makes him look like a great American Hero.
