As far as Sarah Palin: as much as I want her to run for so many reasons - the chief one being she's shown strong resistance to corruption - we on the right don't really feel she is going to run. What we know is she seems to want to keep doing what she's doing: supporting conservative Candidates and movements regardless of party and being a gadfly of sorts. One of America's real problems is that honest and qualified people - qualifications being defined here as proven ability to govern, as say opposed to an Ivy League degree and bowing to the Liberal narrative - one of our true deep problems is our political system has grown so toxic and corrupt that good people and good public officials want nothing to do with it. Rudy Giuliani was flat down the most qualified candidate in terms of a record of effective governance. The guy who won had the thinnest resume of all. Hell really no resume at all, it was all a triumph of marketing (as his key supporters have admitted).

In all the interviews and speeches by Palin, of which I have seen MANY, I have never once heard her say anything truly intelligent or remarkable. Her comments on global warming show a deep lack of understanding on the issue. Her sparse comments on warfare demonstrate a further lack of knowledge. Her “common appeal” doesn’t attract me in the least. I’m not at an Ivy League school, and I wouldn’t vote for a person simply because they came from one. However, being intelligent is a prerequisite for the highest levels of office (or at least it damn well should be). Sarah has not only not demonstrated intellectual curiosity and prowess, she has a fucking deficit.
I’m willing to bet she barely has read much of anything her entire life.
