There's an interesting book that I picked up while in Spain -between the world cup victories of course- called El Palestinio by the investigative journalists Antonio Salas. The book is a pretty amazing story of one man's penetration of several terrorist cells from Venezuela to Palestine for a one heck of a story.
It'll be awhile before I can fully digest it with my level of Spanish, but you can find out more on www.antoniosalas.org/

I think the another question
I think the another question raised by this incident is what type of war does Israel believe it is fighting?testking 642-975 I think most of the world indirectly thinks of the Israelis as fighting a counter-insurgency in Gaza.testking 1Y0-A11 From their actions in Gaza in 2008 and this weekend I think the Israelis clearly believe that they are fighting a war of national survival against an external enemy. In this light, I can understand why they would want to conduct a direct-action type operation. testking PW0-104 The problem they have is that the flotilla, while representing an "external threat" was not composed of declared hostile combatants,testking 312-49 or if done so by the Israelis, the rest of the world certainly doesn't agree. It would be interesting to know what discussion the Israeli command had, if any, with their version of the SJA to confirm what type of "combatant" status the flotilla people had.
I've always very much enjoyed
I've always very much enjoyed Andrew's blog. However, since it moved to CNAS there's been a noticeable shift in the trolls:thoughtful discussion ratio towards the former. I understand well how that makes the blogging far less enjoyable and productive for the blogger (not to mention the reader--I had pretty much stopped commenting there).
I'll continue to look forward to whatever Ex writes (including, if you're reading this, that thesis--hint, hint).
