Distraction is more what comes to mind.
I am a US citizen. The narrative spoke in the post article is echoed within US domestic politics and also in international discussion. It goes something like this, "you guys are the root of OUR problem". Usually "you guys" are the people with the deeper pockets, but not always.
The reason this post is a distraction is because it delays the people playing the victim from taking ownership of responsibility. We ALL have responsibility for others perception of ourselves.
Swedes big game hunt in Africa because that is were the big game is. People in Africa like the revenue it produces.
All people laugh at many silly things. There are silly things ALL over the world. If you do like people laughing about your silly things then don't care about it or don't encourage the joke.
This victim thing had legs years ago, the world has grown up since.
