I do not have to go back to

I do not have to go back to Romney's high school days to know what the future looks like. The Cranbrook story is not a surprise.

Enter a guy that hangs out in his girlfriend's apartment in nothing but a throng. Hardly has a voting record in the US Senate while serving(?) the people of Illinois. Writes a few books about himself giving him a self-image that any Democrat would give up "the great society" for. Says he was a Constitutional Law Professor at a Chicago University, but really only taught a few classes was never tenured. Comes out of nowhere with a community service and a "sanitized" background to enable the DNC to hitch a wagon to. Getting elected was a no brainier at a time that Bonzo (yes, that is one of Reagan's buddies) could have gotten votes cause of an economy that was crafted by years of back scratching politics went tits up. One of his first year efforts was to get the people in the Middle East more stirred up then they already were. The next effort was to drive a wedge into the American public with Pelosi's pride, which we are still trying to figure out if it is constitutional. While the economy was in a deep recession he held State Dinners on his back lawn telling the American public what was on his guest's plates and not theirs. One of the guests got to stand up in front of Congress and tell us how bad the US of A is for letting firearms cross the Mexican border causing all the deaths in a drug war. Meanwhile the organization of one of his hand selected Cabinet members was running guns into Mexico in Operation Fast and Furious. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry gets killed with little notice while this guy stands up for and pays blood money for each Afghanistan killed in his surge by US troops even buys them new homes when damaged by American bombs. Only thing that surpasses his deficit spending are his frequent flier miles of his personal Boeing Jet that costs almost $200,000/hr to operate. We have not even started talking about the transportation of the 175 secret service agents needed for Columbia alone. You would think that a person that took a couple jet liners full of staffers to a Global Warming conference in Europe would want to use less Jet A. All those Foreign Policy visits to support his rock star status and Vladimir Putin doesn't buy a ticket to the show. Rock Star hero, NOT. Putin is too busy at home working on economic issues, is that an EDUCATIONAL MOMENT lost on a Foreign Policy agenda!

Think I would be more comfortable with a person that is not evolving so much. If I could stop the EVOLUTION maybe I would know what my home value is!!!!!!!!

It is the economy Stupid, always has been!!!! Three F*ing years, two of which were focused on Health Care and he still does not get it.

Romney does look like the guy that outsourced the hundreds of people I worked with, sent their jobs to China. At least he knows why he did it.

BTW....

I will chime in on Same Sex Marriage. I have not see one yet that biologically produced offspring that went on to pay the DNC's taxes. It is a failing experiment without recruitment. If the DNC wants more taxes, they better wise up and use a little less birth control.

Not against gays or immigration.

The gays can be gay as they want in their own home (the same place the DNC says I am limited to the use of lethal force in the self-defense of my own family in my own home), Gays should not be recruiting my children. If we need immigrants to grow our society to pay taxes, then they should fill out the paperwork. It is hard for me to understand how a person can be in the US of A for multiple years continue on to college subsidized by US taxpayers and still do not have the brains to look in a phone book to find the immigration office to get the papers to fill out that would make them legal.

Gets tiring to have people tell me they want to use my own money to tell me how I should think and raise my family.

Then again, high school stories are more fun and less of a moral challenge.

I think Romney's official reaction to this information is what is most troubling. He gives the classic non-apology "if I offended anyone" but goes above and beyond because the facts show is an assault and battery by a schoolyard bully while he calls it "pranks and hijinks". If he did this to a friend, it might fall under that category, but that's not the facts. And even more troubling, he says he doesn't remember it! Either he did this so often that he can't remember all the times he assaulted a classmate who wasn't his friend, or he's just lying.

A real acknowledgement of what happened and a real apology would make this an non-issue, but Romney can't even manage that. Like Clinton's "I didn't inhale" comment, it just is a tiny glimpse into their character.

So what is the difference between assault and battery and pranks?

Here is a real life story I will throw out as an example.

Worked with a guy that I will call Joe (not his real name) in the mid 70's. All the new guys were encouraged to goose Joe in the butt. Joe had an instinctive response where he would deck (that means a fist sandwich and you wake up on the floor) the guy doing it. Then everyone would laugh, including Joe. Everyone would get back to work afterwards.

No one cried, no one called their Mommies, no one got sued, no cops were called, no one was fired and absolutely no one talked about bullying that would only start another level of fun. No one jumped off a bridge in mental stress, people had coping skills they just returned the favor. It was all joking around and was taken that way.

Joe was a good guy and yes I was encouraged to goose him before I knew him. Never goosed Joe, wasn't really into goosing men in the butt.

Why did Joe have that instinctive response? Joe was an American POW in WW2, he was machine gunned for trying to escape from his POW camp. Today they would most likely label it PTSD for what Joe went through in that camp. For everyone else it was just a hoot to see someone get decked. Joe was one of the guys and knew it and all was in fun and part of the work place. Lot of other guys went through the same thing. One of the guys from that crowd of people I knew divorced his wife on her death bed to keep from going broke due to health care expenses. Those people sweat for a living and used up their bodies to make their wage, it was what we did and had to do.

Kids today would have a different response, their lives have a lot less diversity.

Maybe one of these days I will show you where the mule bit me (that was another part of the hazing).

There is nothing that you can say to make me feel ashamed of it. It made me the person I am today and proud to have known such a good group of craftsman. It is hard to find that level of craftsmanship today in today's workers.
