Lt Col Kelly M. Martin

Lt Col Kelly M. Martin was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1992.  She began her career attending Undergraduate Pilot Training at Vance AFB, Okla. and was then selected for KC-135Rs at McConnell AFB, Kan.  Here she became an aircraft commander.  Lt Col Martin’s next assignment was as an intern in the Air Force Intern Program where she earned her Masters in Arts at The George Washington University.  Lt Col Martin returned to flying the KC-135R as an instructor at RAF Mildenhall, England and was selected as the Wing Executive Officer.  She returned to thee 351st Air Refueling Squadron as an Assistant Operations Officer.  From there she was selected as Staff Secretary for National Security Affairs in the Office of the Vice President.  Upon completion of her Washington D.C. tour, Lt Col Martin attended in-residence PME at Air Command and Staff College, Maxwell AFB, Ala.  After graduation she was hired as the 92nd Operations Support Squadron Operations Officer, Fairchild AFB, Wash., and did so until her selection as Commander, 92nd Operations Support Squadron, Fairchild AFB, Wash. Lt Col Martin recently returned from Baghdad, Iraq where she served as the Commander of the 447th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron, Sather AB.
