Eugene Chow is a Research Assistant at the Center for a New American Security. Prior to joining CNAS, he was a speech writing intern for Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates. Previously, Mr. Chow served as the Deputy Regional Field Director of the Obama Campaign in western New Mexico. Mr. Chow earned a B.A with honors in Rhetoric and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley. His senior honors thesis entitled, “Peer to Peer: Emerging Spaces for Ethnic Resistance by way of Incongruency” focused on peer to peer technology and social networking and their affects on ethnic groups and identity expression.
