Kathleen Majorsky was a Joseph S. Nye, Jr. National Security External Relations Intern at the Center for a New American Security.
Majorsky received a journalism master’s degree from the University of Missouri. Previously, she interned at Sarasota Magazine in Sarasota, Florida, where she assisted with promotional events and community-building strategy.
Prior to graduate school, she taught ninth and 11th grade English at West Springfield High School in Northern Virginia. Majorsky graduated from Penn State University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. She is interested in learning how to apply Web 2.0 strategies in the national security community and has done extensive research on online community-building strategies.
Majorsky is currently working on a professional analysis that will investigate the verification practices of bloggers. She will complete her master’s degree in May 2011.
