Amanda Pfabe

Joseph S. Nye, Jr. National Security Development Intern

Amanda Pfabe was a Joseph S. Nye, Jr. National Security Development Intern at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). Before joining CNAS, Pfabe was an Officer Candidate at Officer Candidates School for the United States Marine Corps. She was disenrolled from the course due to an injury and plans to return in the summer of 2011.

She graduated from Harvard University with an bachelor of arts in Economics in 2010. At Harvard, Amanda was a member of the varsity lightweight rowing team, earning All-American honors and co-captaining her senior year, and served on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

Besides national security, Pfabe’s interests include business and technology. She was able to explore both fields when she interned at Google for two summers, working mainly with the advertising teams.
