CNAS hosted Major General Mills, USMC for a discussion on the security situation in Afghanistan and the looming transition. Major General Mills briefed CNAS on what his troops were able to accomplish in Afghanistan. He also provided insight into what needs to take place in order for Afghanistan to transition as U.S. troops begin to withdraw during the projected time frame put forth by the Obama administration.
