Dr. Terrance Leighton was selected as the lead microbiologist for the response team atboth the USPS Brentwood Mail Facility and Capitol Hill facility Anthrax Remediation.Dr. Leighton is currently a Senior Staff Scientist at the Children's Hospital ResearchInstitute in Oakland California and Professor Emeritus in the Department of Molecularand Cellular Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Leighton holds a B.S.in Microbiology from Oregon State University; a Ph.D. in Microbiology from theUniversity of British Columbia and was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Biochemistry at theUniversity of California, Davis.
