On December 6, the Center for a New American Security hosted a Joining Forces working group including representatives from non-profit and philanthropic organizations and academic institutions to discuss how communities across the country are leveraging nonprofit, civic and private resources to promote successful integration of service members, veterans and military families. The working group, led by CNAS Senior Fellow and Director of the Joining Forces Initiative Dr. Margaret Harrell and CNAS Non-Resident Senior Fellow Nancy Berglass, was part of the Center's Joining Forces research on the “wellness” of service members, veterans and military families.
