Research Assistant and Joseph S. Nye Jr. Internship Coordinator

Michael Zubrow is a Research Assistant and the Coordinator for the Next Generation National Security Leaders Program and Joseph S. Nye Jr. Internship and Mentoring Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). He is also the Vice President for Membership of Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP).  Mr. Zubrow is currently pursuing a joint degree from Georgetown University with a Masters in Security Studies and a JD from the Georgetown Law School.  His work has appeared in numerous publications including Defense News and the BBC.  Prior to joining CNAS, he was a research intern for the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction (SIGIR). Mr. Zubrow earned a B.A. with honors in political science and diplomatic history from the University of Pennsylvania and has studied at King's College London in the war studies and European studies departments. His senior honor's thesis entitled From Liberation to Occupation: An Analysis of America's Post-Conflict Planning for Iraq won the Leo S. Rowe Memorial Prize.
