On Thursday, September 16 CNAS co-hosted a virtual event with The Prospect Foundation in Taipei entitled, “Cross-Strait Relations: The Prospects and Challenges.” The event featured remarks by officials from the United States and Taiwan, including Paul Scharre and Lisa Curtis, followed by two expert panels. The first panel covered cross-Strait relations and proposals for lowering tensions and shoring up deterrence. The second focused on enhancing support for Taiwan among like-minded countries and expanding Taiwan’s international participation, and was moderated by CNAS Fellow Jacob Stokes.
