Research Areas

Adam Twardowski was a Joseph S. Nye, Jr. Research Intern for the Strategy and Statecraft Program. He is interested in America’s role in NATO, the future of Europe, and US-China relations.

Before joining CNAS, Mr. Twardowski interned at the State Department’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, where he worked in the Office of Central European Affairs. He previously interned at the Atlantic Council’s Brent Scowcroft Center on International Security and the Hudson Institute’s Center for Political-Military Analysis.

Mr. Twardowski received his B.A. from Concordia College (MN) double majoring in international relations and Mandarin. During college he spent approximately six months studying Mandarin and teaching English in Chongqing, China. In Fall 2016 he will begin pursuing an M.A. in Security Studies at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.

Mr. Twardowski speaks Polish.
