Timothy McBride leads Global Government Relations for Raytheon Technologies. He is responsible for working with governments at the international, federal and state levels, and for communicating the company’s business interests to policymakers and other organizations. McBride, a former senior White House official, has more than 30 years of experience in government affairs and business consulting at Fortune 100 companies. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of government relations for United Technologies Corporation prior to its merger with Raytheon Company in 2020. He previously led global government affairs at Covidien, overseeing federal and international government relations. Additionally, he served as a consultant to a variety of companies in the telecommunications, manufacturing, energy, automotive, financial and homeland security sectors, providing services in business development, public relations and government relations. From 1985 to 1993 McBride served in a number of senior government positions. He was a member of George H.W. Bush’s vice presidential and presidential staffs and also served as assistant secretary of commerce for trade development. He is a member of the U.S.-Afghan Women’s Council and is a co-founder of Ayenda Foundation, a nonprofit that works to improve the lives of Afghan children. McBride is also a member of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Museum & Library Advisory Board and serves on the boards of directors of the Atlantic Council and The Economic Club of Washington, D.C. He holds bachelor’s degrees in marketing and business administration from Eastern Michigan University.
