Bolton's tell-all book highlights incoherence, instability of US President's China policy

On the same day that United States President Donald Trump signed into law the Uighur Human Rights Policy Act, details emerged on Wednesday on how he had allegedly told Chinese President Xi Jinping to proceed with Uighur detention camps last year.

Such a disconnect between Mr Trump's words and his actions, as former national security adviser John Bolton has it in his tell-all book, is an incoherence characteristic of Mr Trump's foreign policy towards China.
