Day-Lewis, Spielberg for Thank You?
Daniel Day-Lewis and Steven Spielberg could be reuniting for war movie Thank You For Your Service.
Filmmaker Steven - who previously worked with the British-Irish actor on the Oscar-winning historical drama Lincoln - is considering the possibility of getting the star on board for the upcoming film, reported Collider.Deadline reports that screenwriter Jason Hall, who is writing American Sniper for Bradley Cooper and Steven, is in early talks to adapt David Finkel's book of the same name for the big screen with the director's DreamWorks.
It is not known yet if Steven will direct. The book examines the profound effects that the Iraq and Afghanistan wars have had on the people who have served in the armed services, and looks at the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Since winning his third Oscar for Lincoln, Daniel hinted that he may take a hiatus from acting."I don't have any projects lined up - I haven't got anything planned for a length of time. I can't imagine what I would try to do after playing Lincoln. I haven't even started contemplating what's next. But I know if I do think about doing another role it would seem really inconceivable," he said.
