CNAS Announces Panel Lineup for “The Quad Equation” at 2021 National Security Conference

Washington, May 28, 2021 — Today, CNAS announced that Stephen Biegun, former United States Deputy Secretary of State; Michael Fullilove, Executive Director of the Lowy Institute; Vijay Gokhale, former Indian Foreign Secretary; and Shinsuke Sugiyama, former Japanese Ambassador to the United States will join the CNAS 2021 National Security Conference. These featured guests will speak on the panel “The Quad Equation: How Four Democracies Can Uphold the Rules-based Order in the Indo-Pacific” at 1:20 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 10. The panel will focus on the future of Quad engagement and what it means for growing strategic competition between the United States and China and the trajectory of the Indo-Pacific regional order. The conference, A New American Security, will explore the new challenges, ideas, and voices transforming America’s national security landscape.
