Silicon Valley Goes to War
As reports emerge of AI-powered weapons systems deployed in strikes on Iran, Dr. Sarah Shoker, Senior Research Scholar at UC Berkeley, and Paul Scharre, Executive Vice President of the Center for a New American Security joined The Weekly Show. Together, they examine how autonomous weapons and artificial intelligence are being integrated into military operations, investigate the relationships between Silicon Valley AI companies and the Pentagon, and explore if regulation is possible amid an accelerating arms race.
