How Are China, Ukraine and the U.S. Actually Using Military AI?
Artificial intelligence is being used on the battlefields of Ukraine right now — or is it? That’s one of the questions driving the second part of Breaking Defense's roundtable series on military AI. Joining Editor-in-Chief Aaron Mehta is Sydney Freedberg, as well as Joshua Wallin, fellow at CNAS, and Kateryna Bondar of the Center for Strategic and International Studies. The panel also looks at how China may or may not use AI, and why relying on their civilian database may not actually help Beijing in a conflict. Plus, we look at how the Pentagon is trying to learn lessons from conflicts abroad for its own AI efforts.
