Pivot Toward the Pacific
As the Obama administration winds down wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, it is asserting US power in the Asia – Pacific region, in part as a counterweight to China’s growing influence. Host Carol Castiel talks with Walter Lohman, Director of the Asian Studies Center at The Heritage Foundation and Patrick Cronin, Senior Director of the Asia-Pacific Security Program at the Center for a New American Security, about the many reasons behind the US pivot toward the Pacific.
