Tyler Jost is a U.S. Army officer currently serving as a Company Commander in the 781st Military Intelligence Battalion, where he leads a team of Army soldiers and civilians charged with defending the nation in cyberspace. Prior to this assignment, he completed two deployments to Afghanistan, serving as the aide-de-camp to the Commander of the NATO Rule of Law Field Support Mission and as a leader of intelligence teams within the 101st Airborne Division. Previously, Captain Jost conducted research on U.S.-China relations at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, as well as the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress as a Presidential Fellow.

Captain Jost earned his Master of Arts in Chinese Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar in 2009. He graduated with honors from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 2008. Captain Jost speaks Chinese and is a graduate of the Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies at Tsinghua University, Beijing.
