"The stakes are very high": Turkey's attack in Syria risks conflict with USh

The US is facing yet another major diplomatic challenge in the Middle East, after its NATO partner Turkey's decision to attack US-backed forces in Syria.

Turkish ground forces pushed into Northern Syria last night, a week after the US announced it would be supporting a Kurdish border force to quell remaining Islamic State insurgents.

PM speaks to Nicholas Heras, a Middle East security fellow at the Centre for a New American Security, who says the US' decision to name its Kurdish militia a 'border force' was a significant error of judgement.
