Joseph S. Nye, Jr. National Security Intern Discussion

Dec 5, 2008
12:30pm to 2:00pm ET

CNAS Conference Room
Washington, DC

The Joseph S. Nye, Jr. National Security Internship and Mentoring Program is a vigorous and competitive program for up-and-coming practitioners and would-be policy makers. Dr. Nye has devoted his career to the preparation and mentoring of generations of American and, indeed, global strategists to confront international security challenges the world over.

CNAS interns moderated the discussion which focused on challenges for the next administration, in particular the use of American power in our current and future international engagements. Dr. Nye offered a few general remarks and then opened the floor for an engaging and dynamic dialogue with the interns. In addition to Nye, special guest Dr. Graham Allison- a premier voice in U.S. national security and defense policy- stopped in to share his thoughts with the next class of influential policy makers and practitioners.
