On February 17, 2011, the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) hosted a discussion with Senior Fellow Robert Kaplan on the subject of China's rise.  The talk focused on U.S.-China relations, China's increasing military and economic power, and possible future scenarios for security in the East Asian region.  Kaplan's recently authored National Interest piece entitled "America Primed" includes his recommendations for steps the United States should take in its future relations with China as part of a global security strategy.
