Ben Bain serves as the senior advisor for policy innovation in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (OUSD-P), where he builds capabilities for visual thinking, leadership and team dynamics, and organizational change. He helps OUSD-P bring innovation into policymaking to better address human, process, and policy challenges. Previously, Ben worked at the XPRIZE Foundation on two education prize competitions, seeking to improve access to quality literacy learning materials for children and adults around the world. He served as a US Army infantry officer from 2009-2013 and graduated from the UK's Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Commissioning Course. Ben also worked at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace as a Nonproliferation fellow. Ben is a Team Red, White, and Blue Eagle Leader Fellow and a member of the Truman National Security Project's Defense Council. He earned his MA in Security Studies from Georgetown University and his BA in Political Science from the University of Georgia, where he was a Foundation Fellow.
