President Donald Trump and North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, have more in common than they think.

They both love drama and they delivered it in spades on Thursday, in an extraordinary turn of events that has seen them suddenly switch from slinging juvenile insults at each other to agreeing to meet for the first US-North Korea summit in history by May.

Details of the meeting between “little rocket man” and the “mentally deranged US dotard” will be thrashed out in the coming weeks, but both can plausibly take credit for the stunning developments and both can claim a win with their domestic audiences.
