CNAS Mourns the Passing of Board Member Lewis Kaden

Today, CNAS Chair Kurt Campbell and Chief Executive Officer Richard Fontaine made the following statement on the passing of Board Member Lewis Kaden:

“All of us at CNAS are deeply saddened at the passing of Lew Kaden. Lew was an integral part of the Center’s board over the past six years, a strong believer in our mission and a tireless advocate. We benefited greatly from our friendship with him and we deeply valued his kindness and grace.

“Lew Kaden was that exceedingly rare combination: a giant of a man and an incredible intellect, with a generous heart and a gentle manner. His breadth of experience and expertise, and the time he invested in helping nurture CNAS, made us smarter and better. He was a mentor, especially to young people, and all of us learned a great deal from him.

“Our thoughts are with Lew’s family as all mourn his passing. Lew left a great mark, at CNAS and on the country, and we will miss him very much.”
