Washington, June 2, 2021 — Today, CNAS announced that Kathleen Hicks, Deputy Secretary of Defense, will join the CNAS 2021 National Security Conference. Ms. Hicks will be the featured speaker in a fireside chat with CNAS CEO Richard Fontaine during the opening session of the conference, which begins at 11:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, June 8. The opening session will feature a series of conversations with members of the CNAS community, expert guests, and leading policymakers about America’s changing foreign policy landscape and the need for a new national security vision. The conference, A New American Security, will continue to explore these challenges and ideas over four days of engaging panels and live events with CNAS experts and guest speakers.
