Press Briefing: The Iran Nuclear Deal Deadline

Washington, November 12 – The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) will host a briefing for reporters to lay out the major issues and potential outcomes of an Iran-P5+1 nuclear deal as the November 24 deadline for a deal approaches. The briefing will address the intricacies of the nuclear talks, the effect of sanctions on nuclear issue dynamics, and the effect of the talks on the broader region.

Speakers will include:

  • Elizabeth Rosenberg, Director of the CNAS Energy, Environment, and Security Program and former Senior Advisor to the Undersecretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence
  • Dr. Dafna Rand, CNAS Leon E. Panetta Fellow and former member of the Secretary of State’s Policy Planning Staff, covering the Middle East and North Africa
  • Ilan Goldenberg, Director of the CNAS Middle East Program and former Iran Team Chief in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) 

Speakers will provide short comments, then engage in an extensive question and answer session.
