Press Release - CNAS Announces Members of Task Force on Biotechnology and American Competitiveness

Washington, November 9, 2022—The Center for a New American Security is pleased to announce the members of its Task Force on Biotechnology and American Competitiveness.

The CNAS Biotech Task Force is comprised of national security leaders and technical experts who are dedicated to promoting long-standing American competitiveness in the field of biotechnology.

“We have convened an illustrious group for this effort,” said Secretary Michael Chertoff, Chair of the Task Force. “The tremendous experience and insight that these experts bring to bear ensures that the task force can take on the opportunities and challenges that advances in biotechnology will produce.”

“Our goal is to shape public discussions of this critical technology area,” said Martijn Rasser, Executive Director of the Task Force. “I am thrilled to have this cadre of leading experts join us in this crucial endeavor.”
