Captain Kearney's Quagmire

We here at Abu Muqawama have a vague division of labor: Charlie covers the Marines, AM gets the Levant, Kip does Afghanistan, and we all make fun of the Air Force. As a result, Charlie waved off the lengthy and outstanding NYT Mag article on the Korengal Valley, since Kip promised he'd put something up on Monday. Well, patience is not one of Charlie's virtues, so she's jumping the gun a bit. While you're waiting for his brilliant commentary, check out the photo slide-show that accompanies the article.
