Sarah Palin Meets Abu Muqawama

D.J. Skelton, John Nagl and I were walking back into the office when I saw a woman who looked a lot like Sarah Palin standing outside the Starbucks at 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. We introduced ourselves and then had a perfectly polite five-minute conversation with her and Todd about her son in Iraq. No pictures, alas.

And please, no snarky comments about what I should have said. Yes, I suppose I could have said something clever, but it seemed classier to ask how her kid was doing in Iraq and to welcome her and her husband to the nation's capital. Sue me.
