The Biggest Burden?
Oh my goodness, what must Martha Raddatz -- who has been a true friend to U.S. soldiers and their families -- have been thinking when Dick Cheney told her that President Bush bears the greatest burden in the Iraq war? Greater than the soldiers sucking up their 16th month in Iraq? Greater than the families of the soldiers? Greater than the burden being carried by the out-gunned and out-numbered troops in eastern Afghanistan watching their buddies die for an economy of force mission? Read this and tell us the president bears the greatest burden. This man has no idea what he's talking about. The president himself -- a humble man, if not the most intelligent -- would never say something so stupid. [via Danger Room]
