The Trust Deficit: The Impact of Local Perceptions on Policy in Afghanistan

I served as a respondent this afternoon, along with Jack Fairweather and Michael Semple, to an excellent new report written by my friends Erica Gaston and Jonathan Horowitz on the way in which U.S. and allied operations in Afghanistan have been perceived by the Afghans themselves. The panel discussion, which was taped by FORA TV and should be available somewhere on the internets in the near future can be viewed below, was a good one.
