Aum Shinrikyo – Second Edition – English

In the Second Edition of the 2011 CNAS report Aum Shinrikyo: Insights Into How Terrorists Develop Biological and Chemical Weapons, Richard Danzig, Marc Sageman, Terrance Leighton, Lloyd Hough, Hidemi Yuki, Rui Kotani and Zachary M. Hosford provide new analysis of Aum Shinrikyo’s chemical and biological weapons development, which pre-dated their 1995 sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway system. They focus on Aum Shinrikyo's efforts to produce various chemical and biological agents and the difficulties the cult encountered, providing new insights from key insiders.
