Research Areas

Brent Peabody is the Joseph S. Nye, Jr. Intern for the Military, Veterans, and Society Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).

Brent graduated last year from Georgetown University with a degree in Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA) and a dual concentration in Spanish and Security Studies. After graduating, Brent pursued a wide variety of professional opportunities, including teaching Model UN in China and managing a successful state legislative race in his home state of Georgia.

Next year, he will begin studies as a Fulbright Scholar in Brazil, where he will be teaching English at a public university and researching Argentine-Brazilian military relations.

Brent could not be more excited to work in the Military, Veterans, and Society program at CNAS. He finds the work more relevant than ever, and hopes that researching veterans and the human cost of war will provide a unique and valuable perspective for a future career in the national security sector.
