Virtual Event | The Future of U.S. Policy in the Middle East Amid Israel-Iran Conflict

ET
Join the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) on Wednesday, June 25, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. ET for a discussion on future U.S. Middle East policy for a region shaped by shifting conflict dynamics. The panel discussion will feature remarks from Elizabeth Dent, senior fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy and Rachel Brandenburg, Washington managing director and senior fellow at the Israel Policy Forum.
With the outbreak of direct conflict between Iran and Israel following preemptive strikes on Tehran’s nuclear program, Washington must carefully consider how it chooses to engage in the region moving forward. Balancing risk will be key to protecting allies, safeguarding American personnel and assets, and avoiding further escalation. This discussion will examine the short- and long-term impact of the ongoing Israeli military campaign for Tehran’s nuclear ambitions, the outlook for stability in the Middle East, and the possibility of future U.S. diplomatic or military intervention.
