
Adam Koussih is a Joseph S. Nye National Security intern for the Middle East Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).
Prior to joining CNAS, Koussih worked as a research assistant at the University of Mississippi Department of History, where he studied the role of the Lebanese Maronite Church in the early 20th century. Additionally, he completed study abroad programs in Jordan, Morocco, and the United Arab Emirates, sharpening his Arabic proficiency. He has also interned at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Middle East and Türkiye Team.
Koussih holds a BA in international relations and Arabic from the University of Mississippi, with a focus on international business and the Middle East and North Africa region. He is currently an MPP candidate at the University of Virginia, concentrating on national security policy.
