WATCH: CNAS' "Across the Pond, In the Field" effort travels to Salt Lake City, Utah

On our second “Across the Pond, In the Field” trip, CNAS traveled to the beautiful (and cold!) U.S. mountain west to Salt Lake City, Utah. We brought Lars Gert Lose, Ambassador of Denmark to the United States; and Lord Browne of Ladyton (Desmond Browne), Member of the House of Lords, former UK defense minister, Vice Chair of the Nuclear Threat Initiative, and Chair and co-founder of the European Leadership Network, for candid discussions about the future of transatlantic trade.

The three-year project features trips to 12 cities, where two American and two European national security leaders will meet with local leaders, public audiences, students, and journalists. On the inaugural trip to Pittsburgh, the European guests were former German Minister of Defense Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg and Swedish Ambassador to the U.S. Karin Olofsdotter.
