Joining Forces Veteran Employment Working Group

On October 27, the Center for a New American Security held a Joining Forces working group on veteran employment. Participants discussed challenges veterans face when seeking employment in the private sector. Dr. Margaret Harrell, Senior Fellow and Director of the Joining Forces Initiative at CNAS, and Nancy Berglass, CNAS Non-Resident Senior Fellow, led a conversation that emphasized the opportunities and challenges associated with recruiting, hiring and retaining this population. Information gained from this event will inform CNAS research on veteran employment.
