The Seven Deadly Sins of Defense Spending
On Thursday, June 6, 2013, the Center for a New American Security hosted a discussion marking the release of The Seven Deadly Sins of Defense Spending. Two of the report's co-authors Senior Fellow and Senior Advisor David W. Barno and Senior Fellow and Deputy Director of the Studies Program Nora Bensahel joined Erin Conaton, former Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness in a wide-ranging dialogue on ways to address the underlying causes of Department of Defense cost growth while preserving maximum combat power.
