Alexandra Jackson

Alexandra Jackson is a Foreign Affairs Officer in the State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs. She currently covers economic issues in the Office of Iranian and Iraqi Affairs and previously covered Oman in the Office of Arabian Peninsula Affairs. She previously served as a Watch Officer in the State Department Operations Center, the Secretary and Department’s communications and crisis management center. She completed a year-long detail to the National Security Council/White House Situation Room, the President’s 24/7 intelligence watch. There, she was awarded the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Exceptional Achievement Award in recognition of outstanding service during the Afghanistan evacuation. She graduated from Pomona College and received her Master’s in Defense, Development, and Diplomacy from Durham University as a US-UK Fulbright grantee. She studied Arabic through the Critical Language and Boren Scholarships.
