Andrew Spafford is the Program Administrator for the Energy, Economics, and Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).

Andrew is a recent graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) where he received a Master of Arts in International Relations. During his time at SAIS, Andrew worked as a research assistant for two of his professors, researching defense-focused topics such as the ongoing war in Ukraine and the U.S. military's recruiting crisis. Andrew holds a BA in Classical Studies with a minor in Political Science from Duke University and previously interned for Senator Sherrod Brown.
