Cadence Barker

Cadence Barker is a Joseph S. Nye, Jr. Intern for the Communications Team at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).

Prior to joining CNAS, Barker worked as a Defense Innovation Summer Fellow with the Defense Innovation Unit, where she contributed to tech development and research at the U.S. European Command. She interned previously with the Ringgold County Attorney’s Office, Global Ties and the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, and has also done freelance and volunteer work in the communications sector.

Barker recently graduated from Sciences Po, where she studied politics and government with a minor in international relations and a regional concentration on Europe and North America. The final year of her bachelor’s degree was spent at the War Studies Department of King’s College London.
