Caitlyn Holmstedt

Cait Holmstedt is a Joseph S. Nye, Jr. intern for development at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).
Prior to joining CNAS, Holmstedt interned at the International Rescue Committee, where she promoted refugee economic success by developing and leading trainings on common barriers to employment and social services. Holmstedt previously interned at AsylumWorks and the Adala Justice Project in Rabat, Morocco, and at the House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.
Holmstedt recently earned her BA in international affairs and French language from American University. As a student, she conducted research on extremist radicalization, migrant success outcomes, and conflict mediation. She is currently an MA student in international affairs, policy, and analysis at American University, where she is also working toward Global Migration and Leadership & Management certificates.
