Charles Horn is the communications officer at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), where he began as a Joseph S. Nye, Jr. Intern. Horn leads the Center’s media relations, connecting CNAS experts across all research areas with leading global outlets. He also helps coordinate CNAS’s internship program, supports the Center’s congressional relations, and produces the Derisky Business and Brussels Sprouts podcasts.

In 2026, Horn received the 1LT Andrew J. Bacevich Jr., USA Award, which is awarded to emerging leaders who exemplify courage, integrity, and commitment to public service.

Horn graduated from Wake Forest University in 2022 with a degree in history and politics & international affairs. Before coming to CNAS, he worked in the digital department of a Senate campaign and for documentary production companies.
