
Chris Estep
Communications Officer
Chris Estep is a Communications Officer at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), where he coordinates the Center’s digital engagement and congressional relations efforts.
Estep holds a Master of Arts degree in Security Policy Studies from The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, where he concentrated in U.S. National Security. A graduate of Eastern Nazarene College (ENC) on Boston’s South Shore, Estep received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Religion. His thesis research focused on the intersection of President Harry Truman's Cold War-era diplomacy and midcentury popular religious sentiment in the United States.
Estep’s writing has appeared in Lawfare, War on the Rocks, Just Security, Slate, The Hill, Business Insider, The National Interest, and more.
